Very easy to use, hard to clean, but that’s expected.
The pot will do its job and keep the herbal tea warm once it’s done. Just like the ones I can find in Chinatown, but cheaper and I don’t have to go into Chinatown to get it.

Sunpentown has produced an effective Chinese herbal pot. Boiling down TCM herbs can be a messy, time consuming business. This is a good product that saves time and peace of mind. We place all the herbs at once in the pot and let it cook for about 2 hours, it will automatically switch to “warm”. This will allow you to decoct and process your next batch at your convenience. Over all we really like the pot. Our main dislikes are that it is really heavy and also gets much hotter than our last one. This is a bit of an inconvenience with transfer, but not a huge issue.

This works as expected. There isn’t a manual on/ off. As soon as you plug it in, it is on and it switches to “warm” , once the cook cycle is over. Though I would have preferred a manual on/ off, the pot is acceptable without it. I bought this to reduce the chances of burning the herbs I cook and it has been successful in that.

I got my shipment yesterday I used for cook my Chinese herbs per Chinese doctor instruction 4 bowls water put in the pot , the water lever was over the thermal conductor I cooked for 2 hrs still no automatic turn off, the water level was down to less than one bowls water level, I been trying for 4 times still not automatic shut off. And the pot are heavy too. Not recommended

Easy to cook Chinese medicine. The pot stop cooking when water below the center part. But still keep warm. Water will continue to evaporate, just slower. So I setup my own timer to remind me. It works really good for me.

We had just moved into a new city and unfortunately we broke our only herbal medicine cooker. we tried to find some locally but could not find one for a decent price. So we found one here and bought it with prime which came the next day! awesome! it works like our old one however it does weigh less. not sure if this will reflect its durability but for now, its holding up and working fine.

Inside the pot, there is a plastic ring that seals around the stainless steel heating part. When you cook the herbal tea you will be cooking this plastic ring as well. I couldn’t believe it when I saw and felt this plastic ring inside the pot. You had to look carefully to find this ring. Is it PBA free?
I returned the product. I am going to use the traditional Chinese herbal tea cooker which breaks and burns easily. But I know I am not drinking the extra stuff coming from the plastic ring.

Works well, as described. Cuts off at one cup. Much easier than having to continually check and watch herbs cook on the stove. No herb odors in house, nor all the moisture. Just put cooker outside. Can fit 2 days of herbs if smaller portions. My portions are larger and can only get one in at a time. See how long it holds up. Metal cooking element at bottom seems to get burnt herbs stuck to it.
