Grew up using Hawkins pressure cooker and this is my third one,. I have multiple in different sizes. We take it for camping trips and cooking rice, lentils, beans or meat is so quick. reduces the cooking time to less then half. Perfect pot size camping and singles or a small family.

I bought this product to mainly cook meat. However, the lid leaks no matter how I secure it. To make things worse, after only a couple of weeks, the bottom of the cooker has dark spots which cannot be removed. The cooker is defective, leaks, and the bottom of the cooker has spots that can’t be removed. I have tried to wash the bottom but the spots just won’t go away. Please do not buy Hawkins pressure cookers from this manufacturer because you will not be supported by them. Amazon simply passes the buck and asks you to get in touch with Hawkins. I emailed them, and they did get back to me, asking me to submit evidence of the cooker’s defects. They asked me to send them photos, videos and a photo of the lid leaking. It seems that they are not interested in either replacing the cooker or issuing a refund. Business and ethics rarely ever exist together. It’s business as usual, corrupt, exploitative, and shrewd. Please buy Prestige instead. Stay away from Hawkins.

I did not expect to find Hawkins in US local markets hence I had to order it online. It was delivered fast and well packaged. It works just fine and it is a great product when you need to cook for 1-2 people. Cooking and cleaning is easy too.
